A trip to grandma

It takes three hours and fifteen minutes to get to Szopinek. But by the expressway, it's mega boring anyway!

When we pulled up to grandma's gate, we couldn't drive in because my uncle's car was parked in the driveway. So mom parked the car in front of the gate. I came up with an idea to scare grandma. I heard her sitting on the terrace with my aunt. I got as close as possible and let out a huge RAAAAWRRRR! Grandma actually jumped! She said: "Oh my goodness!" and gave me a hug. Then my aunt did the same. And suddenly Ola ran over! My younger cousin. How we screamed! Ola even picked me up! And then Ula came. My older cousin. She had a friend over, so we just said hello.

Then Ola took me to the living room and showed me her new squishies. Then she helped me and my mom bring the things in.

Ula and her friend came over. They asked us if we wanted to play something with them. Ola immediately decided that we would play blind man's buff. Ida went too. When Ula was the "blind man," she stood in one place until Ola approached her, and then Ula caught her. Ola, on the other hand, as the "blind man," ran around and fell over like crazy. Everyone was there except for Ida and Ula's friend. Ida insisted that she was too small and that she was peeking, and Ula's friend was simply quiet.

The next day, the plan was to go to a thrift store.

But my aunt had some online meeting and we still had two hours before leaving.

Well, we've set up Monopoly. It took us an hour.

It wasn't that hot yet, so I went to the garden to dance. And I was just about to show my mom the routine I came up with, but my aunt came and said that we could go.

It got insanely hot outside, so when we walked into the air-conditioned store, it was a relief.

The clothes there are better than in regular stores and they are cheaper. At first, we looked downstairs. I found one pair of shorts and a workout top. There wasn't anything else cool. So we went upstairs. It was slightly more expensive there, but the things were cooler. After a while, I found a super cool top that says "Smile" and another pink top. Then I tried on some wigs and bought a pin with a dancer.

When we got back home, grandma asked us as usual what we had hauled in. Ida showed her things first. A dress, two t-shirts, and a mega-weird blouse with tits. It was transparent and the only thing it had was a built-in bra. Grandma had a huge laugh.

And then she announced that she had arranged to meet the other aunt in the old town at three o'clock. And it was one o'clock.

So Ula took us to the aerial silk. She's been going to classes for seven years, but now they've all been canceled. Ula decided to teach me the "piggy" pose. She says it's not a difficult figure. But it was. Terrible!!! You were supposed to hang upside down and let go! Terrifying.

Of course it didn't go well for me. But I learned two new figures. The scorpion and the split on the silk. Then the mermaid too.

And grandma told us to come down. Aunt Asia was waiting for us at the market.

And we had some money left over after the thrift store. We still had a few coins. And there were slot machines.

I drew two dinosaur eggs and one squishy toy.

And then together with Aunt Asia we went to the pastry shop for ice cream. I didn't want an ice cream. I took water with ice, mint, and lemon. Others took ice cream sundaes. Except for my mom. She also took water.

After the ice cream, we didn't really know what to do. However, there was a misting station in the middle of the market square. We got ourselves soaking wet.

And then Ida and Ola got even more soaked at the fountains a bit further away.

I tried to climb onto a stone ball like that. And I didn't succeed because it was terribly slippery.

The next day was boring. Terribly hot and the little ones went to the pool. We didn't feel like it.

Then it got more interesting, because somehow we got the idea to record a music video for the song Chandelier. It was fun!

That day we were at the jump park. They rebuilt practically the whole thing into a playroom.

I slept terribly long that day. If my mom hadn't woken me up and told me we were going to the reservoir, I would have slept for a hundred years.

At this news, I jumped out of bed and ran to the living room without even getting dressed. I packed my swimming gear, put on my swimsuit and then my clothes over it.

Ida was grumbling about something. But that's normal.

When we were already at the lagoon, our dream unicorn wasn't there. Because a year ago, when I was at my grandma's, there was this humongous inflatable unicorn, bigger than the others. An entire school class plus the teacher could have fit on it. Unfortunately, it wasn't there this time.

TOOOO THEEE WOTEEEEER! That was our shout as we ran across the beach. The water was warm. Warmer than last year.

We swam for a bit and saw an inflatable boat. We ran to the rental shop, and right after that back into the water so we wouldn't dry off.

That wasn't a very interesting game.

It was nothing like the unicorn from a year ago. So we asked the rental guy if it was possible to swap the rented boat for an inflatable swan. It was mega funny!

Almost like a unicorn. Except that the swan had a bottom, and you could fall inside the unicorn. And the swan was smaller, of course.

When our time was up (the one from renting the swan), we went for ice cream. I didn't eat any because I don't like swirl soft-serve. Mom promised me a popsicle later. After the ice cream, we went back into the water for a bit. And after swimming, Ida and Ola went to the shore to build with sand.

So Ula and I went to "anti-tan." It was so hot that tanning made no sense. We would have burned instantly.

That day, the plans included visiting the old Zamość fortifications. Such defensive walls.

At the end of the whole trip, I had the pleasure of being put in the stocks. And then putting Ula in them.

And I stood upon the cannon.

Ida didn't go sightseeing with us. During that time, she went for ice cream with mom.

Well, after visiting the observation deck, everyone went for ice cream. I didn't want any. I had some yesterday.
Mom, Ida, and I returned home, and when everyone else got back, we watched a movie.

And the last day. Vacations at grandma's always go by so fast.

Today we are going to the zoo.

There was a little shop by the reception, and in the shop there was a mega squishy croissant! Unfortunately, mom said we would buy it when we were leaving.

At first, we went to the monkeys. They were very funny! The gibbons were going wild.

The capuchins behaved almost like humans and in the cage next door there was a chimpanzee with blue balls.

We were basically in the whole zoo!

And I fed the guinea pigs. They were pushing toward me like they were possessed! There were so many of them!

Among the animals that could be fed, there were also: a pony, rabbits, and donkeys.

And finally, as we were leaving, I got my croissant! It was incredibly soft! I named him Ryszard.

And that was the end of our trip to the zoo.

On the day of departure, I felt like picking cherry resin with my cousins.

Grandma has such an old cherry tree that produces very nice resin. When it hardens, it looks like amber.

Grandma caught me when I was sitting in the fork of a tree with a knife, sawing off nice pieces. Ula whispered to me: drop that knife! I did as she said. Grandma said: Don't try to fool me! I saw it. And then she told me I'd better find some resin that wasn't completely dried out and eat it. She said that when she was a child, it was their substitute for chewing gum. I tried it. At first, it was tasteless. Then the resin began to release a subtle flavor of I don't know what. It tasted like wood! Yuck!

And we had to go. Another three hours.
