Trip to Greece

A year ago when it was summer, I went to Greece to the island of Skopelos. It was so hot then that I thought it was a mistake. Now that I've remembered it, I want to tell you how it was. As soon as I got on the ferry I immediately felt hot, so I changed my clothes.

Right when we docked I was dead tired. My first day on Skopelos was mainly based on getting to know local restaurants, shops, beaches, and other basics. Nostos Restaurant was the first restaurant we went to. I had spaghetti with shrimp (since it was already lunchtime), Ida had a crepe with ham and cheese, mom ate beef stifado (I hope I didn't write Biff from the movie Back To The Future), and dad had something totally bizarre. When I asked him what it was, he said it was dried octopus in batter with lemon and potatoes. Total weirdness! But when he gave me a taste, it was actually quite good. Then it got so terribly hot that we hid in the house for four hours. We were bored out of our minds. For the first hour we watched a movie, for the second I read a book, and mom read to Ida. Then we went nuts, and after that we started playing ball. It was an apartment and the people below us probably called mom, because she took us for ice cream. I complained that it was hot. Because it was. Probably like 40*C! Maybe I'm exaggerating. After ice cream, we went to the beach by the harbor. The water there was dirtier than at Agnondas, but let's take it one step at a time. I played diving and water tag with my sister. And at the end, I was making a masterpiece of art for my guinea pigs.

Okay. It's the next day. Today for breakfast, my parents decided that we would go to a joint on the promenade. I don't remember what it was called, but I remember that people write on the internet that they have very good breakfasts there. Everyone had cheese and ham toasts. Only dad got (as usual) something weird. Then mom ordered a trip to the beach. This beach was called Agnondas and was terribly crowded with tourists. But it was still fun. To get used to the water, I just jumped off the pier.

Then we collected pebbles

, caught fish on the beach that was right next door

, and played a game of taking the ball.

I even met a friend.

Ultimately, I recommend Greece as a vacation spot both for those who want to roast in the sun and for those who want to have fun. The only downside is that the whole city was uphill.
